Island Hopping
in the mediterrenean
Whether the plan is to walk the clobbered streets of a Greek island, or have lunch in a hip beach restaurant in the Balearics with your family and friends, the yearly pilgrimage to these bohemian jewels in the Mediterranean starts around May and ends sometimes around October.
All you need for this destination is swimwear, a chic cover-up and a pair of leather sandals. Accessorise with a Panama hat and a straw basket and you are ready to go!
BUCCI loves the Greek Islands
White is the colour of the islands in the Mediterranean. If in doubt, keep it white and earthy. With the sun high in the sky, lounge by the pool and admire the view from Oia, Santorini. If you can, stay at Pergolas Villas and take a catamaran trip to explore the caldera. Do not queue to see the sunset. Try to get your spot in advance!
Boho Chic for Mykonos and Ibiza
Add a bit colour and show off your tan! Get ready to walk in some of the best beach clubs in the world (Nammos, Principote, Spilia, Alemagu and Scorpio in Mykonos or Beach House and El Ceringhito in Ibiza are some of our favourites) where the food is world class and the scene is such that nothing compares. You can never overdo it in a boho-chic style with a few staples in crochet, light cotton and refined accessories. Do not forget a a sexy outfit for the after-lunch DJ sets.
Pom-poms, Tassels + Colors
Go for pom-poms and tassels if you are heading to the colourful islands of Ibiza and Formentera. Channel the Spanish party vibe with vibrant accessories: reds, yellows and blues are the colours to wear! Head to Juan y Andrea if you want a beach with Caribbean water and fresh grilled fish...and of course some Cava! And finally, keep it simple, and sophisticated, white and navy for the Italian islands, Capri, Sardegna and the Aeolian. Flat shoes, wide-legged trousers and don’t forget your straw bag. Panarea, Stromboli and Salina are our favourites especially if you are lucky enough to sail there like we plan to do this year!
